wake up each morning 'bout a quater till six
get myself ready for the long day ahead
instead of being thankful for the job that i have
i just wish that i could get back in bed

there are people everywhere
livin on the street
and others doing all they can to make ends meet
and i've got everything i need
i take it all for granted
god help me to remember those, living empty handed

havent you heard, when you give to a stranger
n its not all about rewards its not a hand out
knowing that yoru not ding favors,
your giving back to the lord.
